To me, the key to being a good adviser is to focus on three core values: friendliness, clear communication and integrity. These are the principles with which I began my own mortgage advice business, and they have served me well ever since.
I’m proud of my progress in the industry. In April 2016, I was recognised as one of the top 250 Mortgage Advisers in the UK* – based on whole of market reviews from VouchedFor, and reported in the Sunday Times. I’ve also continued to extend my professional knowledge, gaining the Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice.

My background
My broad experience in the financial services industry helps me deliver a more complete and informed service to my clients.
My first ten years of experience of working with a mortgage lender really helps when I’m advising clients – having been on the ‘other side’ of the application form, I understand the thought processes behind the lenders’ questions.
After gaining my CeMAP qualification in 1998, I gained a further ten years’ experience as a mortgage adviser for both lenders and whole of market mortgage brokers. It was during this time, that I discovered my passion for helping people to buy houses.
What about the fun factor?
We’re constantly told that buying or moving home is one of the most stressful events in our lives. But why does it have to be like that? My view is that with a bit of professional help, you can enjoy the real excitement of buying a home, without getting bogged down in the process.
That’s my aim and that’s my motivation – to help you every step of the way – from clearly explaining your mortgage options, to finding you a great mortgage deal, to ensuring your utilities are connected when you move in.
